Project Architect
Known for being creative, detail-oriented, and organized, Sofia consistently delivers
high-quality work. Her professional goal is to contribute positively through her architectural work and enrich communities with thoughtful design solutions. As a healthcare firm architect, she was part of the award-winning Piedmont Atlanta Hospital Tower design team. She also served as a Lab Planner and Architect, where she honed her skills in designing functional and innovative spaces. Sofia has also worked on her own projects in her home country of Guatemala, where she currently resides, including several single-family dwellings, a 14-story mixed-use building, and offices.
She holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a Master's in Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was nominated for the Dean's List Outstanding Thesis Award and recognized for her efforts in an internal competition for educational purposes of Project Kaleidoscope, winning the best presenter, best visualization, and best documentation. She also earned a Master's in Business from Universidad Francisco Marroquín with a minor in Finance and a Master's in Management from Tulane University. Her diverse educational background equips her with a unique blend of creative and analytical skills, making her a versatile and accomplished architect.
Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, traveling, going on road trips, learning, staying active, hanging out with friends and family, reflecting her passion for continuous growth and exploration and adventure.
