Dale Lee.

Partner, Design Director

As a longtime client said best, “Dale is a visionary who absorbs all the knowledge and paints a picture of the project you can see.” He believes the energy of nature complemented by the built environment is what brings architecture to life—and where beauty lies. As lead designer, his focus is on mentorship and maintaining the high level of creativity and design excellence for which hrd is known. Dale recently designed the new hrd offices in Atlanta, capturing their vibrant culture and setting the tone for an exceptional, collaborative workplace.

Dale grew up in the rural lowcountry of South Carolina with his mother, an artist, and his uncle, a builder, as role models. Dale’s long career began with a passion for public architecture and designing places for people. Along the way he discovered healthcare exemplified that passion. He studied environmental psychology and earned a Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Arts in Design, from Clemson University. (Go Tigers!)

He’s especially proud of his design for the fifth generation of the Women’s Center which was recognized nationally by both healthcare designers and providers.

Dale is also creative outside work with gardening and designing all kinds of things, including his oasis in the city. He loves spending time with friends, both people and dogs, especially Gloria, his own fur baby. He actively supports animal rescue through volunteering and fostering. He loves games, sports, food, and talking…and more talking.
