Bob Ard.
Principal
Bob serves as a healthcare principal and project manager servicing numerous Piedmont Healthcare facilities and Shepherd Center.
Building upon lessons learned during ten years of design and construction administration for high-profile hospitality and commercial projects, Bob has embraced the challenges of equally complex healthcare addition and renovation projects over the past thirty years.
Just as the experiences of a lifetime need to be interwoven with current approaches to achieve ultimate outcomes, he endeavors to provide a seamless integration between healthcare guidelines and life safety codes, complex medical equipment systems, and innovative healthcare delivery practices to create efficient, safe, and healthy patient-friendly environments.
Bob received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1981, and is NCARB certified. He‘s been a registered architect for nearly forty years and currently holds licenses in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Puerto Rico.
Having recently celebrated their 40thwedding anniversary, Bob and his wife Sharon are the proud parents of three grown children. During his free time, Bob enjoys model railroading, Lego architecture, and cheering on his favorite sports teams—the Atlanta Braves and the Virginia Tech Hokies.
